Ladies and Gentlemens,
How goes it everybody? In the past month we have fulfilled a couple of decades long fantasies. No, not the one about us doing a photo shoot in drag, or the one where JC gets to drive in the F1 celebrity race with us as his pit crew. They will be hopefully coming in the next few months!
In the busiest month we have had for a couple of years, we managed to fit in the filming of a clip for All of the Dreamers, in which we finally fulfilled our lifelong dream to grow from average Brisbanians to dominate the entire planet. It's a great clip made by our (also Brisbane) friends Damo and Stephen from Head Pictures with all of the post production work done by Cutting Edge (Brisbane). All in all a totally Bristastic production. Maybe they'll give us the key to the city and we will have free parking for the rest of our lives. Hmmmmmmm............
And in the worst kept secret in recent musical memory, we played a show under the psuedonym Adult Baby. This fulfilled the part of the the fantasy wherein a few of us had always wanted to play our new album (since Double Allergic I believe this idea has existed) front to back, onstage, in front of an audience. We rehearsed hard for the month of September and pulled together 10 of the 11 tunes that will appear on Golden Rule. We had a great time doing it and were able to blow out a few of the live cobwebs before we start back out on the road again, along with seeing a lot of the familiar faces who also made their way to see bands such as The Econodogs, The Donkey Boyz and Denim Venim! There was talk of donning nappies and bonnets for the show but thankfully our manager Paul gave us all a stern talking to and reminded us that we are in fact serious artists, not comedians. Hoggy was even talking about having a dummy as a microphone. I mean Ian..................imagine what a field day Q Confidential would have with that!
While we were recording in Byron Bay we decided to test out a few of our new songs on the Splendour in the Grass audience when we busked outside the Great Northern Hotel on the eve of the festival. We enjoyed that experience so much that we decided that it would be a great way to launch our new album. The idea was hatched and plans put in place to play three 'shows' (a 25 minute acoustic busking set) in one day, in which the audience would be notified twenty minutes earlier by Twitter as to where the show would be. Realistically we expected a crowd of maybe a couple of hundred diehard fans to make the effort to come and check out what we were doing. So when, at Post Office Square in Brisbane we were confronted by an audience of a few thousand, we were taken completely by surprise. Needless to say we were slightly underprepared in a production sense, which is why we added some more amps and microphones for Sydney and Melbourne. The other shows in Martin Place and Federation Square were also a great buzz. On a confessional note we were kind of hoping to get arrested but sadly it never eventuated.
So now we are in the process of getting together our next video and rehearsing for the big shows in November. We are really looking forward to doing some outdoor summer shows as we haven't really been doing gigs at that time since 2005. So sit tight. We have a few more surprises coming and Cricket/Festival season is just around the corner and we are ready to play. Good luck in all of your exams and the like.

There are undoubtedly a lot of ponits like that to take into consideration. That is a good point to raise up. I offer the thoughts previously as standard inspiration nevertheless clearly there are questions just like the one you bring up the place that the most important issue will be employed in honest very good faith. We don?t know if recommendations have blossomed around such things as that, nonetheless I am sure that your job is clearly defined as a fair online game. Both boys and girls feel the influence of just a moment's delight, for the rest of its lives.

That's funny... ye oldie fans were thinking of also turning up with bonnets and dummy's.
Oh yeah and if you see that Walking Stick mob please tell them we look forward to hearing Parables in full on stage.
jamie (21 October 2009 16:17:49)
i think i love you
Imaginary Vigil (21 October 2009 15:10:44)
What a great time you are all having up and down the East Coast!
Now, what about including the rest of Australia, hmmm? And I don't mean sit on your butts and wait for BDO, either!
Surely you all have enough frequent flyers points by now?
Charles Myers (21 October 2009 14:40:34)
Can't wait on new album.. 1st song is so so good!!!! :D Well done guys....
Jaxster (21 October 2009 14:36:39)
That's disturbing.... ye oldie fans and the band think the same??? We were also toying with the idea of rocking up in bonnets and dummies... but common sense prevailed.
If you're in contact with that mob Walking Stick tell them to pull their fingers out because we want to hear Parables in full on stage.
Jo (21 October 2009 14:28:03)
Big shows in November? Is there something you have neglected to tell us thus far?
Ellie (21 October 2009 14:22:01)
