Ian Haug

Ian Haug’s love of music is a palpable force that shows no signs of slowing. With Powderfinger behind him, Ian continues to look after Airlock Studios, and now plays in The Church.

Ian started Airlock Studios with some friends back in 1996. Since then hundreds of artists have used Airlock as a recording space. It’s a bit of a no-brainer really—with its huge range of equipment, serene atmosphere (located near Samford Village), and reputation for top-notch recordings. Through Airlock, Ian encourages and inspires other musicians to pursue their ambitions and dreams.

But not entirely content to sit back and let others have all the fun—in 2013, Ian became the guitarist for one of Australia’s most influential bands, The Church. Not a bad gig! Clearly Ian knows his way around a fretboard.

Since joining The Church, Ian has recorded and released and album with them, Further/Deeper, and toured Australia and the US.
